“Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everybody else.”

Margaret Mead

Ethnography holds a unique power to generate insight.

It is a set of research methods and a particular, agile mindset when undertaking an investigation into the lives of others. It is a reflexive, person-centred tool kit that begins with two premises; that what people say they do and what they are two different things, and that in order to truly understand someone you need to embody their life and experiences as fully as is possible.

With ten years of experience conducting ethnography in a variety of contexts, I now work as a freelance ethnographic consultant, conducting in depth ethnography for selected start ups, NGOs and corporate entities.

I also teach a Creative Ethnographic Writing workshop to doctoral students within Anthropology.
